Ziroc, ive seen in other boards a feature called "sticky topics". Those topics always stay in the top, no matter when they got the last reply. I think they would come handy for moderating purposes, and sure they would be useful for other purposes too.
I know that this board is in modules or something like that, but its just an idea ![]() Thanks anyway, your job with this web is just AWESOME !! ![]() ------------------ ![]() |

I think Ziroc said something about this being a feature in the new updated forum
It indeed is a very usefull tool to ensure all members read specific important messages ------------------ Behold he who stands before you ![]() Almighty (shared) Leader of the OHF Proud member of the Ancients Club The one True Necromancer/Blade of the Laughing Hyena's Last of the Ancient race known as the Red Fluffies Summoner of Bunnies Official Register of the Top Posters; "You can Run, You can Hide, But you can never do both" ![]() I'm Watching you... I agree, sticky posts are useful. The way they work best imho is where they are used by mods/admins only to keep vital announcements and info at the top of forums. The rest of the time they stay locked.
I am sure Ziroc and the Mod Squad will be looking carefully at all the enhancements available in UBB v6.X prior to the upgrade. ------------------ Regards Mouse (Occasional crooner and all round friendly Scottish rodent) [This message has been edited by Mouse (edited 10-08-2001).] |

Just IMO, so that the feature doesn't get abused, if it is implemented, I think only Ziroc and mods should be able to make a post "sticky." Sorry, but I see the ability for too much abuse, say, if one of the clans wanted use the feature to "sticky" post their own clan info at the top of the page. Just a thought. ------------------ ![]() |
