I am gonna start a new game, and I want to have a good class to play. I dont want to be a Kensai or a Mage, Cleric or Sorcerer. Some suggest some good ones please!

Try a Cavalier.
He has many good abilities, like Detect Evil and Draw Upon Holy Might, he is 20% restistant to Acid/Poison and Fear, he has combat abilities fighting Demons, Dragons and the likes, he can cast a few Cleric-spells, he becomes a very good fighter, he gets good high-level abilities in ToB, he get access to many good and XP-full quests, he gets a good stronghold, and lastly, he can wield the Carsomyr. ![]() So with other words: Choose the Cavalier! It is the best class! |

Rogues are also fun, and combine well with other classes. Apparently in ToB rogues get some very useful abilities, but I haven't played yet.

I don't want to correct you per se sir exxon, but don't the cavalier's get a 20% resistance to fire and acid? And they are immune to poison (copied from gamebanshee). He also gets +2 to saving throws, and can cure disease, detect evil, lay on hands, prot. from evil, and turn undead and is also immune to morale faillure(beserk and panic)

If you are Good:
- Human Cavalier This is the most fun kind of Paladin IMHO. Take two-handed swords and axes, since you can throw axes. - Elven Archer You'll have a lot of fun, but you'll need some front-line tanks to help you out. Visit Watcher's Keep and do level 1 early (if you have ToB installed) for a VERY useful Archer item. - Elven Fighter/Mage A fighter with Stoneskin, Protection from Magical Weapons and Greater Whirlwind. 'Nuff said. If you like the Balance: - Half-Elf Avenger These guys absolutely rock. Take either Aerie or Viconia; you have no need of Jaheira. DO NOT FORGET TO DO THE DRUID GROVE QUESTS! They seem lame but becoming the Grand Druid is utterly worth it. If you are Rogueish: - Human Bounty Hunter Some people think traps are cheezy, but they are definately the most powerful weapons in the BG2 game. Bounty Hunters get more than their fair share. - Human Assassin One of the few rogues who actually has a use for skill points at TOB-high levels. Their poison is very good, and their high backstab multiplier becomes insane. When it comes to boss-fights they'll stick to the sidelines, but they are great mage and dragon butt-kickers. If you are Lawful: - Human Monk Very weak to start, but eventually very powerful. Nearly everyone likes monks. -- Nifft |

Try an avenger druid, that could be very different or some kind of barbarian. Both of those classes are quirky and that bit odd which is what I think you want. Everybody loves variety.

mage/swashbuckler. this class is blinding. cast a greater mantle and you are away. their armour class gets better and by the time you are a high level and wanna use magic and fight you wont have to worrie cos he will have at least a -4 ac he can use all of the rings of protection and also if you specialise in two weapons he is great. if you specialise in 1 you get an extra -2 to ac. and if you are in trouble a shadow door mixed with the unseeing cloack and you will easily become very powerful.

For what it's worth I think the Barbarian is great, eventhough he doesn't get a stronghold.Lots of hps and the rage ability is very useful.Another great class is the Undead Hunter,he is awesome in both Bodhi fights and the numerous other undead encounters, including Liches!
