Main Quest Question (Non-Newb)

Okay, this is my 3rd time through, however, this is the first time on the same PC, without a new install of the game.

I got the mission to go to Vivic and talk to the three informats and gather the story line. Anyhwhos, I did that, talked to them, got the notes from Hulee, got the info from Addihair, and spoke with Melo and got the book. However, when I go back to Caius, the game does not recoginize this, and he keeps telling me to check the mission, he wrote it down.

Any ideas? Anybody else experienced this?

I'm too far along to give up, and don't have a 2nd back-up save game.

It seems to happen sometimes, I have experienced is as well.

Check your journal. Most likely, you will find out that a note about finishing of one of the partial missions is not there - even if you are completely sure that you have finished it. In my case, it was the argonian in the sewers.

Oh well, go back to Vivec ad do the missing mission again. If it is the argonian the speak with him, he will acknowledge that you have sent the censor away again and the note about completing the argonian should appear in your journal.

Are you sure you got the infromation from Addhiranirr? Some people stop talking to her once they get the "Addhiranirr was pleased that I'd taken care of the Census and Excise agent she'd been worrying about, and now she's ready to answer my questions on the Nerevarine cult and the Sixth House cult" journal entry, but that isn't sufficient to finish that part of the quest.

Well I had to revert to an old save. About 20hrs of game time, and a weeks worth of real time, sheez. Now, I save after every major mission.

Do you have a copy of your messed up save? I'd be interested in seeing it.

Always make sure you click through all of the dialog options as well whenever you speak with NPCs- especially if they are quest related.
