I'm assuming it works the same way as in Underground 1, it gives you more of a multiplyer when totalling your style points at the end of a race.

The reputation points at the end of each race you mean? I think they're for... no wait, you can use them in... wait... damn. Nope, no use... maybe a high-score gauge to compare to other people?

I think you get vinyls out of them. In NFS:U1 that's how it was.
