Mod Destroyed My Game?

I uninstalled Wiz-8 after finishing Deathstalker's mod, and now it won't reinstall. When i insert the Disk #1 and click on Install, nothing happens. I've un- nad re- installed a few times before, to go back to earlier patches and to go back to original in order to add DS's mod. Never any trouble before, and the disks are still in original condition.
I'm a game geek, not a PC geek, so i don't know what to try...

OOps, never mind, it just now FIVE minutes later, came up with the installer...?????

Just for future reference maybe, I think I know what might have caused it.

When you inert a disk, I *think* the loading application does a registry check to see if the game is installed or not, and hence will either disable/enable the install or uninstall buttons, play game button, etc.

In the past, when I have been messing around with mods and game files, etc... I have caused my game to loose its "installed" status, so not only could I not play it (through the auto-run splash screen), but I could not uninstall it either, only install it a second time. This was a little tricky to fix.

I'm guessing that it did not uninstall properly, and left a registry file claiming it to be installed, which would explain why it might not want to install.

Note, that this is TOTALLY game specific... I do not know how w8's instillation process works so I am purely speculating in this case. There are games out there that will cause problems such as the ones mentioned above, but the vast majority don’t.

I guess if that's the case, the simpliest solution would be to try to install it in an new directory. otherwise run regedit and start looking for wizardry or sirtech keys.
