There are several resurrection powders around the monastery; sprinkling the stuff on a dead party member brings the person back to life.

My personal resurrection method, however, is the restore game function

On a live character, double click the resurrection bag. An arrow will appear which you click on a dead person with. In the Monastery, there are 1-3 bags in 2 places. 1 is at the top of the waterfall on a rock. You get there by taking the mountain river (after waiting for the fishes to go by to avoid a tough fight). Also, there are some in a safe. They will probably still be unidentified at this stage of the game but sometimes not.

Another choice is to just start the game over with same characters, it is still very early!

I don't bother with reviving. I think of the character as deformed if he dies in battle, so I load. It is just one of those things in games that I hate.

But if you want to revive him, there are several factors to take notice of. Compare the level that he was on when he died with your current party level. If you ventured far enough, he is probably a level or two behind. Also, if he was one of the characters that take forever to level, such as a Bishop, I'd reload. Because then he will be on a very low level compared with your party for the whole game, unless every other member dies and he equals their level.

Also, I preempt your next question, there is no penalty with resurrecting a character in Wiz8 (regardless of what method is used).

If you resurrect BEFORE the end of the fight - that char gets exp just the same as the others, with NO penilty!

Good luck with the game. Went through the first time on EXPERT but it took me over 1 year. Fun though.

You might want check what level you are on.

Good Luck
