My faerie samurai has just reached lev 13. Seems the lighning strikes are dying down to some degree. But now that she has Bushido and Sprite Dagger she is starting to "shine" as a demise artist. She still gets a LS about every third battle, not too bad. Her weakness is armor, still stuck with Gossamer stuff. Have to provide an Angel for hard battles. Couldn't get the poison crab shell for Zynaryx Plate. This was after over 20 reloads before leaving Monastery for the 2nd time (after getting the key). Guess I should have tried right away at lev 5 or 6 but was not too strong then. I guess Rynjin is the place for a shell but got a** kicked at lev 12 when I tried (10 opponents by cave, those fin-loving creatures have quite a kick, all protections were maxed but magic was slow). Oh well, will dally around the Umpani caves for a while before trying again. Not too good on getting bat wings, either. Maybe it's the curse...

I hear you Ziggurat, I have 2 faeries in my current party as well (now lvl 13), and yep - still no Zynaryx Plate... "darn crabs". Still, may as well pay a visit to Fin-Central and do the reload thing with the venoms (what a pain).

The fins are tough, numerous and annoying, but you may consider casting Blinding Flash and thinning their numbers if combat proves too difficult. Hey, I mean, how often do you find a use for Blinding Flash anyway? I personally loathe the Rynjin except after getting Prismic Chaos, then they become incredibly fun to fight.

As for the bat wings, try killing off your lord before battling any bats and the game may *think* that the wings are useless to you and probably give you a truck load. (Yes, I'm still bitter about that.) [img]smile.gif[/img]
