I liked the first one better. It is a short coherent story.

The second one is much larger and has more stuff in it.

Both are great. FII has a bit too many pop culture references(as I recall, something like 10-30) but also has lots of neat stuff.

The first was probably better - as the developers did not really produce a better version for f2, they just made a shitload of story lines and threw them all together, i found the 2nd one a bit overwelming at times.

F1 was a much more compact and neat.

THEY BOTH ROCKED OF COURSE!!!

Fallout 2 gave you more options to be... who you want to be.

I liked the second one better, because you could do about anything you wanted. You could be evil, good, a doctor, a porn star, boxer, martial arts master, hobulogis, mafia hitman...

I could do what I wanted and take the time I wanted. The first one was more limited.

It also helped that the 2nd one's engine was more powerfull.
