I have just started BG2 for the first time:
Into movie was cool, much darker and atmospheric than BG1 (IMHO).

Then, I find myself trapped in a cage in what looks like a sci-fi game - hey I thought BG was fantasy?

Anyway, my fears were confirmed - along comes this alien with a large bald head to rescue me.

Wait, its not an alien its Imoen, what have they done to her????????.......OMG!!!!!!!!!

Teenage girls often dye their hair in unnatural, vibrant colors. I don't know Imoen's exact age, but at times she sure behaves like she's fifteen.

Imoen is just a stupid girl, if you don´t like her, just change her look!

I think Imoen's portrait accurately reflects what one might look like if subjected to magical experimentation while secured in a cage. In BG1 she still had access to the Candlekeep Resort and Spa to maintain her girlish good looks.

LOL,

I didn't realise that she had dyed her hair - I thought that her head was deformed.

I felt the exact same way when i first started BGII. I first was like, "hey, who are all these strange people and what have they done to their portraits." my second question was, "where the heck am I? I thought this game was supposed to be cool and colorful." dont worry, the game gets MUCH better. The first chapter was by far my least favorite part of the game.
