Teleporter and Mother ship

I have the Umpani quest to destroy the mother ship.

I have gone to LMB. At the tapestry, I turn left and go down a long hall. I come to a huge machine that I'm told is a T'rang teleporter.

If I get too close, or try to go past it, the game crashes me to the desktop.

I have not yet been able to use the red and yellow wires on the thing.

Is there any way to complete the mothership quest with this bug in the way?

You have to find the Nargisst mothership console, which is in a totally different area of Lower Marten's Bluff. Tip: not far from Z'Ant.

Someone else recently mentioned a crash of the game near the Trang teleporter before enabling it. Maybe you can do a search of this BB and find the answer (re-install game comes to mind, be careful to put your saved games somewhere else first and copy them back, another possibility is need to use a patch, I never had the problem).

It was actually mcfbridge who made that topic. Then it was about needing the trangaporter to finish the game. Its actually still on the first page of wiz 8 forum.

Finally got by the thing. A T'rang teleported into the other end of the room and dropped me into combat. I was able to run across the room during the fight without crashing the game. Don't know why it happened, but hey I'm past it.
