I've gone dry people. I've finished arcanum, BG2, TOB, BG1, Deus Ex, etc. The problem is, I need a new rpg to keep me happy. It should have party interaction, semi good graphics (i'm not to picky about that), and should have an interesting plot and many quests. Any suggestions?

If you haven't played Planescape Torment it, go buy it right away. Many times rated as the best CRPG there is.

Is KOTOR like BG or NWN? I really hate NWN, as the plot sucks and the one henchman thing basically killed the game for me.

Then obviously, you have not tried NWN: HOTU. Much cheaper then a new game (unless it is pretty old), better NPC Interaction and you can take two henchmen along for the ride

Go for Fallout: Tactics. Small squad-based tactical shooters are great.

Just to add another... Wizards & Warriors. You can find it cheaply nowadays, and there's a great support forum just around the corner

Sure planescape torment, wizardry 8... fallout 1 and 2 ... those are some of the classics. I had heard that there was a black isle release that had planescape and fallout 1 and 2 on in one package look for that one thats a cant miss.
Try wizards and warriors if you find that its neat too. Recent ones that are great are Gothic 2 Divine Divinity and Kotor. Kotor is a lot better than NWN in my opinion but it uses a similar engine. Also its the only one of those three where you do have a party. The characters interacting in it is outstanding. Actually since you did put in something where your party converses with eachother ala baldurs gate... the only games like that I know of are planescape torment and Kotor. Kotor has just a great story. I think almost anyone would greatly enjoy it. An interesting plot, possibly the best ever in a crpg Ill have to think about it. Better than the movies. The only thing is, its not fantasy. But it is almost exactly like D and D with armor class and feats etc. There are only 3 classes... 4 with droids... and then three jedi classes. Anyhow, its great cant recomend it enough. [ 01-12-2004, 03:39 AM: Message edited by: the mighty stamar ] |
