OK, final irritating question/comment for the night:

Not liking the jailbreak quest, keep getting caught. Who knew you were actually gonna NEED sneak skills? My [unsuccessful] strategy was go in the front door, chameleon, steal key from desk... and thats about as far as I make it before the alarm is raised.

Any 'easy' way to spring the librarian from jail, or should I just train up some sneak skills, get a better chameleon spell, etc...

In short, let her rot till I'm darn well ready...

You'll need to train your security to open locks. You'll need to train your sneak so that you can sneak successfully and people couldn't see you. You can try making/ buy a more powerful chameleon spell, ie 100% effect.

Yes, sneaking is the best way. Train your sneak skill by positioning yourself behind a guard, put some weight on your ctrl button, light up the old skooma pipe and watch your sneak skyrocket.

Or you can just pay for the training.

Just run/levitate to her jail avoiding the guards and open it... the guards won't follow you in... It helps if you got the boots of blinding speed...

You'll only have time for 1 or 2 lockpick attemts, so you'll need high security skill or a sroll or spell.

I have good security skills, hardly any sneak. Still haven't managed to get into any of the 'cellblocks' without being seen. Was hoping there was an easier way!

Wish you could put out the lights, like in theif...

the jail break caper is the one time i found invisability to be usefull.

a few potions should be all you need, though i prefer to use a spell or a magic item.

imho chameleon, is just too mana intensive to last (unless you are really big on enchanting constant effect sneak suits)

Speaking of which, chameleon and other like items 'stack', right?

If I were to create 3 constant effect chameleons-- say, 2 rings and an amulet, each with 30% chameleon [or whatever the highest you can get for a constant is], I'd have 90% chameleon, right?

Yes, effects like resist magic, resist frost, blind, chamaleon and in short everything has a percentage, stack. Get a 100% sanctuary and you are invulnerable, a 100% chamaleon and you are invisible, and so on.

even when you invisible via chameleon, you still need to make sure they are not looking at your direction before you do something. also, don't forget you still need to sneak when doing something.

damn insert button.
