So, got 'corpsified' [corpsicled? corpsicated?], hung out in a cavern for a while...

First attempt not fulfilling: was using this amulet I made that re-set attribute losses to train enchant skill. Kept droping my endurance back to where it was SUPPOSED to be, without the divine disease...

So I re-loaded, and just slept for 51 days, and now I'm wondering if I should have waited longer:

Is there any reason not to sleep for, say, a hundred days? You'd have awesome carrying capacity, then!

Those who have finished the game multiple times, how long do you usually sleep for?

I get cured right away. I think this exploit is too cheesy. The game is easy enough as it is.

Well, that's true: I had a hundred strength and long blade, 79 endurance and a robe I found that regens hit points pretty fast, and hadn't been in serious jepardy in combat for a long time prior to this.

I don't know how the game calculates combat, though: since you don't see a health bar for opponents, I'm not sure that you get a lot more damage with a 150 strength than with a 100, all else being equal: so far it doesn't seem make any difference. Critters that took 2 blows before still do. Maybe once you are at 100 str. and 100 skill, the damage is determined strictly by the weapon.

But the extra carrying capacity was irresistible. Dunno why, when I already have more cash than I can spend and a room full of ebony, glass and daedric trophies.

I'll have to check and see if I have a save from before the disease...

i like to get the cure asap. it just looks all ugly when my attributes are fortified and not all natural. i prefer only going to 100 and not any more if i can help it. however, i do use a little drainage when i want to get more levels. so with me, infinite levels is ok but not attributes. i want my character to be vulnerable not too godly.

You do more damage with high strength.

If you want that extra carrying capacity, enchant a ring or 2 and an amulet with fortifying strength CE and equip them when needed. I always do that because it's really a pain to have to return to a town every time you find a pair of heavy boots.

Health bar for opponents came with the first morrowind patch. So, unless you have Xbox, go and patch your game. Might save you from some annoying bugs.

Carrying stuff around is the main difficulty in the game I also like to take everything valuable and heavy, no matter how many of those I have at home.

I find carrying annoying too - the next game I start, I'll create a mod to give him a 'natural' constant ability of 500 feather pts to reduce the annoying 'to and fro' treasure journies...

Yeah, I've seen the posts about getting the patches, have been meaning too...

Where can I download them, which is best?
