thanks maskedfrog.did you mean that i should load my game when i entered m.b.
where is general yamir in mt.gigas.in the swamp one way led to mine tunnels and one to wildernees. i also went to the beech but was not able to enter the sea.i am not clear that where are the idols found and how to get there? and one more thing that is it necessary to complete the trang quest to bring the umpani flag and that alliance quest

There is at least one good spell book near the beach.

The tunnel to Bayjin is in the hills at the west end of beach.

Flag quest must be completed in order to complete the trang/umpani alliance, but not the umpani/mook alliance.
