I still feel like this great game unfolding before me (don't spoil me now!) is one of the best I've ever played. I also think this game deserves it's own forum (many other sites still have a PS:T forum), so let's get a ton of talk going in here about the game and maybe we can get a forum of our own!
My character went up as a Fighter for the start of the game, but I figured out how to become a Mage now. Since I read before I started that this game is more dialogue and less combat, I gave my character high mental stats and sacrificed the physical ones a bit. I don't know if I will continue on as a Mage or a Fighter. The stats better fit a Mage, but that class doesn't seem to make much of a difference either. When the fighting does start, I don't want a useless character either.

This is one of the best games ever made lol
I dont recall exactly where you are, but it actually just gets better as it goes on. Its not like a lot of games where the content seems to disapear near the end and theres just some boss to fight. planescape torment starts off slow though, kind of gives a player a "wtf i dont understand any of whats going on" feeling. But whats so amazing is that towards the end the story goes back to the begginning and explains what went on. It was all by design after all. Basically its brilliant. It really reaches an apex when you go to hell with morte. I just remember not only enjoying the game at that point but being in just disbelief at the content that was written for a single computer game. Really its not like a novel its about 3 novels worth. amazing. we could start a forum for it. it didnt get the user modded extra life that baldurs gate did. It uses the orignal baldurs gate engine which makes the graphics resolution so low however the background art in this game is basically unrivaled in any of the bg series games. Basically planescape torment is unique whoever hasnt played it yet i envy you. |

Who do you have in your party?
I liked the Baldur's Gate menu system better, but PS:T one kind of fits the atmosphere. And now you can run. That's a feature I missed, at least in BG one. And there's the insane amount of spoken dialogue. Just make sure you're patched. The game's riddled with bugs. And I'll try not to spoil, however tempting it might be.

I was a big fan of the Planescape setting way before this game came out. When it did, I was so happy.
I really wasn't disapointed. I think this is the only rpg that ever got dialogs right. They are important, affect the game, have style and personality. The whole game as a mood and really feel like planescape.

I've seen and read a lot about it, but I've never played it. It will probably be hard to find now. Is there a demo to try?

I have the game, never got past the Asylum part though, just when i started to get into things, my pc had a major crash, and i had to format. Never installed it since. Perhaps i should give it another go.

Johnny, install that sucker! Let's see who can finish first!
![]() I'm restarting a game tonight, more Fighter levels, but better mental stats.
