I went to Manaan right after Dantione and walked into the Sith base to recover the droid data module. So, I'm pretty low level. I managed to almost clean out the base and then ran into the dark Jedi master. He's slaughtering me, depiste all sorts of tricks (knight speed, force valor, hyper stimulant). I just can't hit him nealy often enough to cause much damage.

Am I just too low-level? If so, I'll just leave (I have what I came for) and try to come back later (is coming back even possible?) . Thanks a lot.

In the room behind the Jedi master you'll find a datapad showing the Sith plans regarding Manaan. I don't think you absolutely need it, but it'll soon become useful; right after you exit the Sith base you'll be arrested and end up in court for breaking into the base. The datapad can serve as a good evidence for the Sith wicked plans.

As for how to beat the Sith master, lightsaber-wielding enemies are a pain in the a$$ but shields that absorbs energy attacks and Force Whirlwind/Force Wave is some useful tactics if you have those.

Energy shields for everybody. I had trouble with that sith, too, because I also went early to Manaan. You only need to get out with one alive. Canderous can heal himself. Don't forget to force heal often.

Thanks a lot. If I leave now, will I be able to go back to the base later? If the answer to this contains a significant spoiler, please just leave me hanging...

You didn't go inthere alone, did you ? Even at a low level you shouldn't have any problems taking that Dark Jedi out, especially if Bastilla is with you, and the droid to cover you with two blasters. Bastilla should be carrying a double bladed lightsaber, so you should be fine really.

Not alone. I was giving Big Z a turn. And catwoman. Sure, I wish I had Bastilla with me but alas.

My only droid is that crappy "R2" unit. This is the first world after Dantoine that I've visited.

Then i can only advice you to go do a few other things, and come back when you're gone up a level or two. I don't understand why Bastilla isn't with you though, is that a choice of your own ?

FYI, experience is given equally to ALL party members, whether they are active or hanging out in the Hawk. I would personally forget about Big Z, and use the best you have: Bastila and Juhani. I assume you three would all be using lightsabers, and hopefully you gave Juhani proficiency in 2 weapon fighting (though you should be ok if you didn't). 3 jedi pounding on anything brings it down fast.

Thanks for all the advice. The Dark Jedi Master went down - I realized that he's susceptible to whirlwind. Bless that power.

Btw, I had Big Z with me because I'd never used him at all before and decided to try him out. I have since gone the all-Jedi route. Big Z is going back on the shelf for now, although I am tempted to try out the droid. I also hear (damn forums) that there is another droid that I might be able to pick up later on, too.
