ok, im in underdark and there are a lot of cool items here...
but they are all drow equipment which will disintegrate on surface.... well my questions: 1_will it disintegrate if in bag of holding?? 2_will it disentegrate if not equipped?? 3_will it disentegrate at night?? 4_will it disintegrate if put in barrel?? 5_if it disntegrates anyway and there is no way to stop it, so it means it can be only used in underdark?? so is the practical thing to do then use it in underdark while you still have it and then sell it for the cash (hopefully drow gold coins WONT change to dust ![]() thanks all and each one individually..

i think drow stuff always turns to dust when you get out of the underdark. as much as i remember, adamantite(drow) equipment is suprisingly cheap.

1. Yes
2. Yes 3. Can't really remember, the armour states it will be destroyed if taken out of the underdark, but IIRC it lasts a short time before it does as long as it's dark, but as soon as you travel....it's dust 4. It's been removed from the underdark already, so will be dust before you put it into the barrel 5. Yes, that's the whole point of the powerful items, to make the underdark slightly easier because of the harder enemies there. I think you'll find that you'll be paid very little for the items, since they're common place in the underdark. You can save the items by giving them all to an NPC and then dismissing them whilst still in the underdark. When you find them, the items will still exist and be useable without turning to dust, but, this is cheating since you were never supossed to be able to use the items out of the underdark anyway. Before the Underdark, I've used the item codes to get the Drow Plate and it does not disintegrate. But, after the Underdark, it will disintegrate. The game somehow checks for this after the Underdark. I'm thinking that if you do want to keep the items, you might want to try the IEEP item editors that some people are using to prevent disintegration by saving them under a different name yet not get rid of the Drow codes.

You shouldn't need to use Drow equipment out of the Underdark anyway-no one else that you will face for the rest of the game has it.
Besides, the armour that you should have by now (Red dragon scale, gorgon plate, armour of the hart etc) should be more than good enough for you to finish SOA and start (and maybe complete) TOB |

quote: The game checks for drow items only in area where the Underdark exit is located. If you aren't in that area or the global variable "drowitemcheckdone" is set to 1 then the game won't bother checking for drow items.

Drow equipment will not disintegrste if put into TWO bags of holding (i.e. put in a bag of holding and put the bag into a bag of holding)
To obtain two bags you would have to do Watchers keep before.

I agree--if you got to the Underdark without too many problems, completing the rest of the game (without employing some type of cheese to keep your Drow items) shouldn't be much of a problem. But I, personally, would have no qualms about keeping my Drow gear as long as I didn't actually expose it to sunlight, because that's what is actually supposed to destroy adamantine, whether it's in the Underdark or not.
