I killed this guy in Ald-Ruhn named Indius Sandeus or something - the one all the shopkeepers are after, and he had a brocade shirt and silk pants which i later sold, but now that i have a higher enchant skill i need them back, but cant find them anywhere and was wondering if anybody else in Morrowind had some??

get them from where you sold them. OR try looking at the cloth shop in Tel Branora.

ps. Indius Sandeus need not be kill if you have high speechcraft skill.

This can be a bit of a hassle. Shopkeepers who buy your stuff and then equip it generally don't want to part with it. Normally disintegrate armour/weapon spells are the only way to get them back but i don't think these will work on clothes. And even then, that's only if you can remember who you sold them to. Not much you can do about it.

I've been caught by this before and realised that the best way to avoid it is to stockpile all those may-be-handy items. Or, if you need the money, establish a list of regular merchants so you'll always know where to look. However, you should always keep any unenchanted, named items.

BTW, what is the enchantment potential of the brocade clothes?

actually that stuff didn't have a great enchant value, exquisite clothing is much better.
