Assuming you have a weapon with a good enchantment rating, what's the best spell effect you could put upon it to damage and affect most monsters in the game?
Fire, Frost, Damage Health, Shock, any other? Thanks. |

paralyze is a nice one to have on, then you can just swing away without a return attack

Soultrap is a good weaponenchantment. That way you don't have to bother with them dispelling and will allways catch their souls.
Just remember no matter what you enchant your weapon with, watch out for the monster who put up reflect. C

Yeah - using damage types you a resistant to is great. Like, put fire damage on if you are Dunmer, frost if you are Nord etc. That way, you dont have to worry much about reflect.

Why bother enchanting? Get Eltonbrand and your trouble is over
![]() Seriously, paralyze is a good choice. Calm could be even better: it cannot be reflected and sooths even the savage beasts.

I favor the Damage Attribute effects. Damage strength and agility are good enchantments to have on an anti-warrior weapon whilst damage intelligence and willpower are perfect for anti-mage weapons. Damage luck works wonders against all enemies.
