I am currently working on Marten's Bluff. There was a dot I could not get to, so I got some help from a walk-through which tells me it's an idol and seems to be important to the main line story quest. The walk-through says to "Go to the southeastern tower and climb the narrow ramp." After hours, I simply cannot find this ramp. Is anyone able to help me? Thanks in advance!!

You have to get further inside, to the hallway by the teleporter. There are two ways to get there, I prefer the mine tunnels. Or you can talk to Z'Ant by taking the lift down at the entrance, use the Trang arm (found after entering the fort by climbing the catapult)to get into a lower passage with a picture on the wall, take a left and fight some Trang to get to the same place. But you take a risk of making the Trang permanently mad at you, so I don't do it anymore (about 1/3 of the time they stay mad, this closes off many quests). You get to the mine tunnels from the Swamp, NE corner. Once by the tranporter's long passage, you can go up some stairs and throw a switch on the wall. This opens a door where you can get to the statue up the two side ramps. This door is by the entrance to Martens Bluff so you will have to go back to the Z'Ant area lift or go outside and come back in to get to the secret room now opened. I know this sounds complicated, and is. The bottom line is you have to explore the lower bluffs, find the switch, and then go back to the upper bluff to find the now opened door with side ramps. Good hunting, and welcome to the board!

There is a way to not fight the T'Rang and still get past them. At the point they tell you to back off, enter combat mode, select run, and run to and through the door they are guarding. Combat will end and they may tell you again about restricted area or something like that (one time they did, one time they did not). But since you are already past them, you continue on. |
