Just wanted to hear people's opinions. Oringinally I liked the T'Rang better, but after meeting General Yamir I'm not so sure, since Yamir's such a nice guy.

But the T'Rang Stun Rods are awesome. But then again, as is the Blunderbuss so that evens it out I guess.

Cute? Well, I guess the Youngers are kinda cute...

Another question about the Umpani and the T'Rang: Who do you think is more technologically advanced? The T'Rang has all them Shock Rods and Stun Rods and (according to Anna) Stun Guns and stuff, but the Umpani has a more organized EWAXX Computer System and Key Cards.

Im not sure.
The umpani sort of rub me the wrong way because they are essentially a humorous part of the story, and while i do appreciate it the joke is starting to wear thin.
So I would say I like the trang more they are more serious.
Im at about the same place where you are. And Im pretty soon going to have to decide if I want my guys to help one side or the other, or not. Now that I think about it I might just go for taking out the hippos.

You can go rescue Drazic and Rodan.

What makes you think that the Umpani are more humorous?

both seems to be advance, but umpani go a super computer and a misile as well. t'rang on the other hand use their technology to create more t'rangs.

The umpani are all in the army.
The whole joke is 'soldier' this 'soldier' that etc. Sort of gets old for me. Especially since escorting that sgt whatever back to the umpani base, he just repeated all the same crap that the sgt back at the umpani base siad when you were doing missions for him.

Well, the Umpani send only soldiers to the planet to fight there, while the T'Rang breed in their spaceship.

And i think its common that the rank of a soldier is used like a part of his name.

But i still don't understand where the joke is (i'm not an native english speaker). Please tell me.

The Umpaini are written in a very cartoonish way, a bit of a parody with all the military pomp and jingoistic dialog. It's not laugh-out-loud funny, but I agree that it is humorous.

I like the Umpanis much better than the T'rangs, that comes from Wizardry 7, I think. I always did the Umpani quests and loved it to kill the T-Rang queen, H-Ren-Ja, I dont know the name exactly. I know Shritis, i hated him because he killed Rodans father.

Killlll all TRANGS
