How do i pick pocket im new at the game i play the xbox verison so.... and what are the probes for?

You have to go into sneak mode (press down on the left thumb stick or double click it to toggle back and forth) then press the action button to "talk" to a person. You will be given their invantory of what they don't have equiped. You need good sneak and security skills.

THe probes are for disarming trapped doors and chests.

Mind that the security skill check is done every time you want to move an item from the "victim" inventory to yours - and maybe the difficulty increases as well, I don't know for sure. Anyway, don't get greedy: if you succeed in opening the inventory without being caught, just go for what you need, don't press your luck unless you want to be caught.

Pickpocketing is a difficult thing to do, even with high skills, so save your game before trying anything

yea im on the second quest for the South wall theifs guild, and i need to get a key and i cant kill him

Hold off on that one until you get the quest from Varius in Ft Moonmoth for a "bloodbath". You'll find something to help you and Sugarlips.

i have never succesfully pickpocketed. If i want something they won't have any pockets left, my sword will have cut through them!
