As there are many FF threads going on in the same forum I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread dedicated not only to Final Fantasy but to any Square game or any game loosely linked with FF.

Ask questions, post information, post ideas etc.

Have fun!

L. Starshadow,
*Is Seifer a playable character and if so can you use him throghout the game? (I reckon he is a pretty cool character!)
*Have you finished FFVIII?

you can only use Seifer on a certain part of the game. after that he's gone. if you really want him into your party you have to use to Gameshark codes for PS or an editor for PC.

PC version editor.

Kakero is right, you only get Seifer for a very short time at the beginning of the game. The timing of his gublade attack is a bit different than Squall's.

I have not finished the game as of yet. I'm at the end of Disc 3 right now trying to get all the cards and get everyone's ultimate weapons. I've gotten Squall up to level 100 already and Quistis (*swoon*) and Rinoa are up in the high 90s. I like to do everything when I play a FF game.

LS : eh? I thought the max level is 99 ? but still why do you want that high level? it will make every monster super powerful and kick your butt painfully.

Thanks for the info!

LS, Kakero,
How much did Final Fantasy IX cost?

In Australia it's a rip off! Most shops are selling it for $80 (Australian)

($80 AUS is around $45 USA)

In FF8, max level is 100. And I wasn't trying to get that high, it's just too easy to level up in the game. I haven't had any trouble with monsters, but I am not looking forward to the Omega Weapon. I know I don't have to fight it, but I have to try it. Ultima Weapon only took 10 times.

GokuZool, I believe FF9 is currently around 39 dollars US here in the US.

LS : Well, if you have problem with monster then just use this tactic, the stronger member ie Squall to attack while the rest just heal. I never lose when I discovered this tactic.

Do you reckon it's worth it, getting FFIX for $40 US ($80 AUS)?

That tactic doesn't work with the Weapons and their one-hit kills. Everyone has to be able to heal to succeed against the Weapons.

Goku, I thought it was worth it, but then again, the best way to find that out is to rent it or borrow it for a few days and see what you think. That's the best way to decide, in my opinion.
