All the times i have played PST I have missed the fiend of Moridor in its true form when you go to curst. But after seeing so much about it on all the different sites I thought it was about time I tried my luck against it my self, I mean any enemy worth 500,000exp has gotta be worth the effort.
Anyway I started playing the game as a solo mage, with the intention of fighting the fiend when i got to curst, all the way through the game I had big hopes for this gargantuan baddie, the enemy that has been describbed as "the legend", the enemy that gives you half a million EXP if you kill it and the Aegis of torment, the enemy that causes an average of 80 damage with each hit. When I met it I was sourly dissapointed, I cast abyssial fury on it and what happened!!! the thing exploaded into little chunks, all it took was 1 spell, it didn't even have time to get in close, some legend I thought to my self (I didn't even get any EXP). anyway I decided to reload my game and try it again without casting abysial fury this time. And this time I got the challenge i was looking for, but still i think the thing is a bit overrated considering i was soloing and beat it twice To all of you who don't know about the fiends true form and want to meet it, you have to take moridors box to lowerward with you(dont open it or give it away), once you get there the box will vanish. Now later on when you get too Curst is gone (when curst has been pulled into Carceri) there will be a new enemy there the fiend of moridor in his true form (hes on the west side of the map section) If you kill him you get the Aegis of Torment a ring that gives you: +3 AC +3 Con +9 HP not a bad item if you ask me |

I fought thefiend at curst the first time I played Torment. I'll admit it was a more difficult fight than yours (I think I lost Vhailor). But I'll admit it was quite overhyped. But by the time you get to curst your pretty high level anyway. The only creature there that can possibly 'kill' you is Trias.

MORRIDORS BOX SPOILERS
Actualy, you also get the true form or morridors fiend if you complete the quest normaly and get the priest of aoskar to scatter the thing across the planes. Persistent creatures these glabrezu... More XP that way as well. This fight was *impossible* when I went through with a party - and dont think I didnt try, and I am fairly good at these games after all this time. Problem was I was relatively low level at the time. The fight was challenging to my solo fighter - but having a CON of 25 means that just by running away I got back to full helth in about a minute, and glabrezi dont regenerate.
