Do they gain levels when you saw them earlier? At the beginning of the game, all NPC's I saw were level 9. I remember that I saw Keldorn when he was 11. Do they gain xp's when they are not in your party? Let's say my party level is 9 if I found Edwin when I'm 11, will he be level 11? Any info about it? I'll be glad..

When you meet an NPC, their level is determined by your current XP. Most characters will max out at around level 12 however (Cernd's max is 13 so you can use his Greater Werewolf Shapeshift)

I restarted the game with a new party I have Jaheira Aerie Korgan Keldorn Yoshi in my party I like to add Edwin in my party but I like to see aerie-korgan interaction but I feel bad about Edwin that he'll miss these xp's til I get him. it's good to hear that I'Ll take him later hope hes lvel aroun 12 or 13 thnks

Isnt that a little unfair ?
I mean, All you have to do, is do a few quests with only 2 people, and thereby leveling up relatively fast. Then you add all the other NPC's, who advance with you in level. This would be an easy way to get your party to higher levels faster ....
