how do you gain reputation?
and what lvls should you be to be able to pick certain locks?EX(lvl35)
accidentally kill a guy(soldier) pay the bounty off, but why do the other soldiers still attack me?

you need to do lots and lots of quests to get reputation

well, your reputation with the other soldiers is kind of in the toilet, hon. i don't think they liked that one bit.

hmmm, i could pick a lvl 35 lock from the start, because i bought a set of Journeyman lockpicks. they are supposed to be good up to level 50, i think. i have had success with a lvl 35 lock using an Apprentice lockpick, too, but had to try a kajillion times. LOL! no really. i did. i think i went thru nearly 25 picks to do it.

i find i pick easier if i'm in sneak mode. might just be this highly overactive imagination i have, luv. dunno.

what sign did you pick, btw? i got the Tower, so that i can fall back on that in extreme cases!

Haven't killed anyone yet but read somewhere that if the solders / police types get down on you the entire country's law and order is after you.

I would think you might want to go back to an earlier save game or just start over. I am on my third start in two weeks. [img]smile.gif[/img]

As to lockpicks. Vesselle was right on the dime. You got to get a better pick than apprentice.

I ran across a Master pick in a dungeon and it is a corker for opening locks.:]

Anyway, mybe a reload at this point and might be good or lose a couple of hours of play and just start over. Not many people here have started over again ,cough, but it might be nice to start out with a clean slate here...up to you! Let us know.

to kill or not to kill, go get a fireball spell, go up to the
top of the light house in the first town. fireball is a long
distance shootter, shoot at a commoner, wait till they come to you.
they will be down below you, flame and kill them, the cops will not
care as long as your not shotting at them. I killed all the commons and no bad reputations.

Only 6 times vessella? I restart new games for 9 times. This is because there are always something seems to be wrong with my character after my have played it for a while. like this skill shouldn't be in major or something like that.

don't jump the gun too much. just THIS game 6 times. that's because i have waited for this game for 3 years and spent a lot of time researching just how i wanted to play it.

::hides:: okay, i'm pathetic. i know. waiting for a game that long. ::sighs:: i can't help it, and you guys should understand.

the only thing that really threw me off was a friend has designed some plugin new races and i have been trying them out, too. he likes the shorter races: dwarves, hobbits, gnomes and goblins. quite fun so far. i'm running a gnomish spellsword type next to Vesselle the Assassin this trip.

Look, the farmer came out of his field from no-where, screaming and yelling at me for eating a simple turnip. He threw down on me all bad faced so I didn't even pull my sword... just hand to hand. .. he was getting me bad with the right crosses.Bam, Bam .an upper cut. sure knock me down then...

I had to finish it then and I think the land would have gone unattended from there.

(how could I screw up such a simple quest I thought [img]smile.gif[/img] )
