Current characters:
Salinye's character: Tiva Elven Ranger Power: 35 Intelligence: 25 Luck: 10 HP: 82 MP: 50 Evilness: 69 Cyril's character: Dreamweaver Information: not revealed at this point Morg's character Zevin the Juggernaut Gnome illusionist Power: 15 Intelligence: 45 Luck: HP: 52 MP: 90 Evilness: Larry's character: Jonal Turamarth Human male Power: 32 Intelligence: 28 Luck: 11 HP: 78 MP: 56 Evilness: 31 Hivetyrant's character: Male mibird Power: 31 Intelligence: 29 Luck: 12 HP: 76 MP: 58 Evilness: 50 Ross's character: Bruner Dwarven male warrior Power: 43 Intelligence: 17 Luck: 11 HP: 94 MP: 34 Evilness: 42 Bozos's character: Ghar Dien Human male shapeshifter (specializes in shape shifting spell-list) Power: 15 Intelligence: 35 Luck: 10 HP: 47 MP: 70 Evilness: 63 My character: Lorax Male half-minotaur shaman (specializes in fire sub school) Power: 27 Intelligence: 33 Luck: 11 HP: 70 MP: 66 Evilness: 58 The game's setting: The world is called Tallabia. It is a world with five major continents: Drulsa, Panadea, Birg, Lokar and Sisss. Each continent is majoritarily inhabited by a single race except for Panadea which is an extremely mixed continent and contains several different races. Drulsa is the continent which is home to all manners of elves, the half human-half beast creatures live on Birg (can contain anything from minotaurs through centaurs to half human-half bird creatures), Sisss is the home of the snake race, who are a highly intelligent form of the snakes normally known also able to talk. Lokar is inhabited by dwarves and their cousins, gnomes and anything else, which resembles them. Panadea contains any other imaginable race, which might appear in the game. The largest race on Panadea (making up about 40% of its population) are humans. Each continent, except Sisss is divided into several kingdoms, empires, democracies or whatever. Sisss is ruled by a snake-like creature called Ssskenusss, whom all of the Sissslings (the name of the race) worship as their god. The ocean seperating the continents is called Aquaia, and is sailed by most of the races able of manipulating boats. Sissslings are able to swim over it. More shall be found out about the plot, when I start getting characters, as then I shall know what I have to work with. You can take any of the mentioned races, except Sissslings, as they shall serve a different purpose in the game. Other races can also be chosen, as in the great mixture on Panadea nearly anything can be found. Just don't go too overboard, with something like half-nymph, quarter minotaur and quarter human. ![]() Three stats shall be used in the game: Power: Determines Hit Points and the general physical abilities of a character. Depending on power there can be hit points regenerated. If your power is over 50, then you regenerate 1 HP in an hour. If over 80 then 3/hour, if over 90, then 5/hour. +1/hour for each point over 90. Intelligence: Determines Mana if the character is a spell-caster and also determines how much a character knows about different things and how quickly he realises that something is amiss. Intelligence determines MP regeneration. For intelligences under 20 MP is regenerated at a rate of 1/hour. This goes up by one for each batch of five until 90. With 20+ being 2/hour, 25+ 3/hour, etc until 90 16/hour. For each point over 90 you get +2/hour. Luck: Luck is to be used by the DM for his evil purposes. ![]() Power and Intelligence have a maximum of 100 and a minimum of 5. Luck has a maximum of 20. At the start of the game you get 50 points to divide among power and intelligence and you start with a luck of 8-12. The stats have the possibility of changing frequently during the game. Other than these three stats the game shall be totally freeform. HP and MP are determined using the following formula: HP=Power*2+(Intelligence/2) rounded down MP=Intelligence*2 If you have any questions then post them in this thread or use pm's to ask, or contact me on MSN. And before anyone replies to the thread remember that it is invitation only. [ 04-16-2005, 11:18 AM: Message edited by: dplax ] |

Some more info: the game is medieval fantasy, so nothing modern, only classic weapons and magic.
Magic system has been made freeform. [ 07-05-2005, 02:56 PM: Message edited by: dplax ] |

Due to a request here is the general plot outline of the game.
The players in this game come from diverse backgrounds. But they all share something special, something nearly unique. Each, and every one of them has seen the Dream. The Dream is a very rare event to happen to someone. The Dream is never the same for two different people, but can always be recognized. The Dreamweaver is the one who sends these dreams to specially designated people, for whom he has tasks. It is impossible to resist to the Dreamweaver's call. Usually his missions consist of bringing more harmony to the world, or helping a good cause. Yet the request sent to the players in this game was strange. The Dreamweaver requested to speak to each of them in four weeks time among the mountains of Birg. No living being has ever reportedly met the Dreamweaver, nor does anyone know what he looks like. There are rumors that he is one of the gods, who created Talladia, but then again these rumors have never been proved. |

Anyways, I have no idea about what char to play, but I guess I'll have something by tonight.

Here is my character (just to give everyone a sample):
Lorax Half-minotaur shaman Power: 22 Intelligence: 28 Luck: 12 HP: 58 MP: 56 Age: 49 Lorax has the lower body of a minotaur and the torso of a human, with the horns of a minotaur. He was the shaman of a small tribe of half-minotaurs among the vast mountains of Birg. The Dream reached him in the middle of him praying to their gods for a better harvest next year. Dream edited out. [ 12-13-2004, 05:31 AM: Message edited by: dplax ] |

I added a lot of new spells and made a few changes to the magic system today. Thanks to Bozos for some of the ideas.

Ghar Dien
Human Shapeshifter(Shapeshift Specialist) Power: 25 Intelligence: 25 Luck: 10 HP: 62 MP: 50 Age: 29 Ghar Dien is a human loner that lives on a mountain in the wild parts Panadea. He is revered by the local, and quite primitive tribe as a god, and has accepted the name Ghar Dien as that is what came out when he tried to teach them the word guardian. He is the benefactory watcher of the village. He refuses to use any weapons, or armors and shields, and relies on his shapeshifting techniques to intimidate and beat his opponents barehanded, or bareclawed, to put precisely. I want to play somebody that looks and acts a little like Riddick, so with that in mind, let me try...
Jonal Turamarth Human Male Power:________27 Intelligence:___23 Luck:_________11 Evilness:______31 HP:___________65 MP:___________46 Age:__________29 Bio: Simply put, Jonal is a man paid to handle the jobs that local police do not want to deal with. Usually employed by rich nobles, who may need escape from a black-mailer or debtor or whatever. It does not matter. Jonal takes care of the job. However, like any mercenary...once you have paid him, he no longer owes you any respect and can be paid by the next man tomorrow to take you down. No family to speak of, no real place to call home...some wonder what drives this man everyday. What does he have to even live for? ![]() [ 01-30-2005, 11:03 AM: Message edited by: Larry_OHF ] |
