Due to recent events in the General Conversations forum, I am prompted to voice it out here...that no role-playing of any obsene nature can be tolerated.

I do not want to lose you guys/gals to an accidentally inmodest post.

I know that you would not do so intentionally.

Remember to think before you post and even in role-play where we are not ourselves...those types of posts can not belong here.

I will not make this into a sticky...because there is no real need to, I think.
If my sister-mod wants it to be one, she can make it so.

Hello. I thought I'd bump this to the top, due to some people with questions regarding "How far is too far?"...

Let me make this rule more clear. First, nobody is being specifically targeted, so if you think this post applies to you...you are the only one that thinks so in my opinion.

In a game or story setting, it is fun to role-play romance threads or similar instances where emotions will be played out. We have learned from the Baulders Gate Series that making out with NPCs is pretty entertaining.

There is no problem with that on this forum, either. If you want to create an NPC to have relations with, or if you are playing with another member of this forum and are making the moves on his or her PC...that is fine. But the question is..."Where do we draw the line?"

I am going to make a list of instances here, that I personally feel is the right step to take on this forum. If another moderator disagrees with me on any one of them, then I will reconsider my post. If you have a question about any of them, e-mail or PM me.

List of banned interactions with either a PC or NPC.
A PC is a person that has a speaking part, run by a member of IW.
An NPC is a person or thing that does not have it's own part in the story...but is mentioned to be a living creature of some sort.

* No explicit detail about an encounter. No graphic material that is considered "soft or hard porn".

* No rape or other violent sexual crime encounters. I do not want to even see mention of it. You do not know whether a member of this forum has suffered this in real-life and to play an encounter out as a game will not be accepted at all.

* No wierd animal encounters. That is just sick. If you are playing a shape-changer...you had better be in human(oid) form when you start.

* Speaking about being naked or nekkid is okay, but no mention of a PC touching another PC inappropriately will be accepted. You can throw something at the nude person, but no mention of sexual fondling or touching or petting.

* If the Ironworks member you are interacting with is a minor in their country of origin, then a lighter romance plot will be expected than if it were two adults. The same applies if both participants are minors. We do not want any mothers calling up Ziroc and threatening to sue him for having a site full of sexual predators. This rule is a bit difficult to say where the line is drawn, so if I see any trouble from this...I will talk with the individuals through private messaging. Together, we'll get it worked out. Just realize that if you start getting too raunchy or I begin receiving complaints..I will be acting in some manner. As of now...there seems to be no conflict...but I have had complaints from three different sources in the past. You figure it out.

i think this is a very intelligent write up of what should or shouldn't go on. this is a family forum and we don't want anyones kids, or spouses finding us doing anything explicit in a roleplaying forum. and for the minors, i'm sure you don;t wnat your parents finding it. so let's protect the family's and keep it clean.
