Locked Away

Fiends! Nightmares! Carrion eaters! Lend me your ears! I'm recruiting more adventurers for you to snack upon!

That is, if they don't get you first...

Greetings and salutations to all. I have an opportunity for you role-players out there with the time and... Guts... For an endeavor. I call her 'Locked Away', and I've spent more weekends and after-school hours than I'd care to mention building her! Now, I'd like to invite you to come live and adventure in this world I've toiled over. NOTE that due to the nature of the storyline, and my experiences, there are a few guidelines for joining. Please read these carefully and make sure you're fit before you click that fateful reply button!

[*]I want this game to last a long time, since I spent so long making it. Please don't join unless you know you can stay with it and be active.
[*]Due to the nature of the game, there should be no more than six PC's at any given time. These SHOULD travel in a party for the best game flow.
[*]Rules are third edition. If you need some help building a character, that's fine. I can help you out here.
[*]This game is not for the weak of language. If you find yourself constantly typing sentence long replies, I will probably grow to dislike you. Obviously there are occasions for short posts, but you need to be able to elaborate.
[*]I am not allowing any weird races or oddball classes. You are not allowed to play a Zenythri psyonic, for example. Basic classes, races, and sub-races. Nothing plane-touched either I'm afraid, way of the game, again. A list of acceptable races and classes are listed below.
[*]This game has a number of visions and dreams associated with it, which for role-playing value should only be seen by the character recieving them. Therefore, keep your eyes open for oncoming PM's. I will notify you here. You can tell your party-mates about it afterwords if you wish.

Half-Elves (Their elven half should be listed, choose one of the elven races above.)

Humans

I used the following 3rd edition books to create this game: Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide, Deities And Demigods, Monster Manual, Monster Manual II, and Book Of Vile Darkness

What about STATs? Do they get 'rolled' or a fixed amount added. (I've tried both)

They're rolled in the P&P fashion. You roll 4 d6's, take the best 3 numbers from that, add 'em up to get something between 3 and 18. Then you take all of those numbers and assign them to the stats.
I can roll those numbers, of course, if so requested. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Oh, you have no idea how much I would like to join in. However, for the past months, IW has been very unstable to me, and is only up perhaps for to days in three weeks or so. However, now it has been up for a while for me, so perhaps my problem's solved. I'm also getting broadband in a couple of weeks, it should be fixed then.
I would still like to join, but I am afraid that I would dissapoint you if the problem appears again, especially as I already have left one of your games without any reason. But, if it is ok to you, I would very much like to join. [img]smile.gif[/img] I won't dissapoint you as a player, I'm starting to get pretty used to 3rd Ed. now. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Btw, if I can join, am I allowed to be the Human sub-race Aasimar? Even though they are half-celestial, they aren't overpowered.

Normally I have no problems with Tieflings and Aasimar, BUT... In THIS game, planetouched races as PC's really conflicts with the storyline.

I refuse to say more than that. It'd ruin all the fun.

Physical Description: CS looks rather nondescript with brown hair and brown eyes. He has an honest face which have caused people to remark that he should follow in his father's footsteps.
Personality Description: CS is the younger son of a fur-trader and as such can't expect to inherit anything - especially since his older brother started travelling with his father. Instead he looked around for other opportunities and found one with a retired adventurer/mercenary living in the neighboorhood. He trained CS in the basics of combat and sold him some used but servicable gear at a discount.
(As can be seen from the feats) CS is a cautious fellow, intending to live long and prosperous rather than living exiting and dying young. This attitude was hammered into him by his mentor, who - although his name will never go into history as a dragonslayer - nevertheless managed to earn enough gold to be able afford a comfortable otium. "It doesn't do any good if you're able to kill three orcs in a blink of an eye, if the fourth one gets you next."
