best items for kensai/mages

Anyway, what do you think the best items for kensai/mages

Well, if u have Special edition, use robes of vecna, and a cool katana that gives u bonus mage spells.U can download it somewhere, if u don't have it. And ring of protection+2, plus amulet of power,plus a wizard ring. That will give u raw power, in my opinion.

Trust me, if you get ToB one of the best weapons is a staff called the Staff of the Ram which can be as high as a +6 weapon, and is actually an extra-powerful Staff of Striking with unlimited charges!

Its the pre-order edition that they are talking about, there is no special edition. You can download the override files to access the pre-order edition items from several sites, including Game Banshee.

In regards to your best items question, look at long-term for ToB. Some of the most powerful and useful weapons are Staves, so I would suggest that as your grandmastery.

Other items are up to you, but Robe of Vecna is a requirement, Amulet of Power, any number of rings depending on the situation, Boots of Speed, etc.

You can look at all the items in the game, as well as their CLUAConsole codes at GameBanshee, so why not go there and decide for yourself what would be best, or at least do a search on this forum for posts like this. I've seen just today at least 4 if not more posts on "What's the best items for xxxx" questions, so you can probably get more advice from searching on these posts than starting a new thread. Just some friendly advice.

its probably gonna be a long time till i get tob, considering im only 13 and do not make money and my parents ar stinges who never get me anything (i say as i sit here in my new parent bought $250 skating shoes) so i do not want to be playing the game for tob, i want to play the game for the actual game!

Amulet: Amulet of Power
Cloak: Cloak of Mirroring, Cloak of Protection +2( for melee fights)
Boots: Boots of Speed
Belt: Girdle of Stone Giant Strength
Weapons: Celestial Fury( main-hand), Dak'kon's Zerth Blade( off-hand), Crom Faeyr( back-up weapon), Staff of Magi( for invisibility when needed).
Shields: Shield of Balduran( for Beholders), Shield of Harmony( to prevent Confusion and Charm), Shield of Reflection( to counter strong enemy archers).
Rings: Ring of Gaxx, Ring of Wizardry, alternatives include, Ring of Acuity, Ring of Earth Control.

Dual at level 9, with 3* in Two Weapon skill, and 4* in Katanas. Scribe scrolls to boost your Mage class so that you can exceed your Kensai class quickly.
