I accidently joined Korgan (sp) to my group early on in the game. Now I'm stuck with his "book quest" in my journal. Other than completing a quest, is there any other way to remove it?

Double-click on the quest entry, it will go into text editor mode. Select all the text and delete them. The quest is now removed/deleted from your logbook.
