Who's the hardest enemy to defeat? (not including Irenicus)

After you've played through the game a couple of times,
you know how to handle them all,but i remember my a** being
kicked by kangaxx first couple of times
Still hurts....

Well, if you are judging by first tries, Kangaxx the Demi-Lich gets my vote.

The hardest battles for me were when there were loads of beholders and there little buddies. I never got round to defeating Kagaxx he always beat me, even when I was at the XP cap limit.Still completed the game. I'd say that the illithids are fairly hard in large numbers unless you have the lvl 15+ skelatal warriors then they are mostly easy. Beholders always turn Anomen into stone or petrify him or whatever they do. Its really anoying.

kangaxx is an EASY enemy if you invest in a protection from magic, or a protection from undead scroll. he is pretty my the hardest SINGLE enemy in the game.
