OK, Chapter 1

What am I missing here?

What is the key to stop the freaking spawning after the portal?

I have tried several different tactics...... And as I am a late newbie...
Many walk through sights are gone....

Can I get the "secret" for this level and does anyone know of any walk-through sights still up?

You need to be more specific, dude. Where are you exactly? I'll take a wild guess and say that you're on level 2 of Irenicus's dungeon, after you meet Yoshimo. Do you mean the mephits and imps? Attack the portals themselves, when you destroy them the mephits will stop spawning.

Guess you might be in two situations.
The first, is very soon, right? Well, in that case, click the lightening machine, ignore the mephits for a second and walk over to the machine and click it ( a revolving sign appears )

The second, is the room where Khalid is dead in, there are three cage looking like portals (took me a second to figure out they were the portals, haha), anyways, hack away at those cage looking portals on the side of the wall (three or four?).

Wat I did was cast melf's minute meteor on my char then summon some monsters to keep the mephits busy.Then i had all my party kill the portal with missile weapons, and repeat the same process again until u destroy all the portal

I didn't think that u could use magic against the portals you face after u get yoshimu. None of the spells worked agaisnst them.

Well, if you choose the noble answer, he summons an ogre mage, but the cowardly answer he justs summons some paniced gibberlings!!!!
