hey. i just got a new comp and then i ran into the famuse "character is busy* [cursing removed]. from what ive gathered its uninstall install SoA then download SoA patch then ToB patch. am i right?

No. Just go to the Bioware site and download their latest ToB patch, then install it. That should work. You shouldn't have to unload anything.
