Right, I think that you can only import the game from the "final save" which is a save made when you beat Irenicus (but its not the final fight!) and then when you import the save you get all of the equipment which you had in BG2 into ToB, but it is best to play the game to the end, because then you carry on anyway and get to carry all the stuff which you pick up between the final save and the end of BG2 and all you have to do is swap the disks.
The game changes slightly. The enemy becomes more intelligent and uses a wider variety of better spells, and some of the interface changes a little, but all the changes are for the best.

When you install ToB while in the SoA, a new area will appear on your map, called Watchers Keep. YOu can go there with once, and get all the good items in there (there are alot!).
When you now finish SoA, with killing Irenicus, you will automaticly be transported to the "real" ToB. Besides that, the all other benefit you get, is that you can become high in levels, and learn new abilities. see ya! |
