Whole lotta questions!

Here we go:

1. I got the purifier from the pillar! No one in my party is lawful good, but I think Jan may have had the "use any item" ability and he could have pulled it from the stone (it was awhile ago). Is that possible? Can you get the purifier with a thief who has that ability?

2. Can you get any other familiars other than: good/fairy dragon; neutral/rabbit; evil/quasit?

3. So I can kill everyone but chinchilla the super bunny, whats up with that? It seems that there are a LOT more bhaalspawn roaming around than can be accounted for, his resurrection doesn't seem that imminent to me. If you can kill all but the rabbit (in the marching mountains) when does the rabbit-bhaalspawn bite it?

4. Is there anything to that contraption in the smugglers cave?

5. Can I ever save Yakeman? I mean the exit is RIGHT THERE! "Exit Yakman!"

2) Yes, remember there is lawful/chaotic as well.

3) I unleashed 3 PRATIs on that damn chinchilla... and it still lives... I just hope it ended up as Nalia's aunt's pet.

4) No.

5) Do not quote me on this, but try casting Restoration on Yakman.

First the thiefs abillity is use any item not some items so duh

you do get more fimiliers ferrerts psedo dragons and 1 more i think

dont know bout rest of the questions though sorry

1. Don't know, never tried it.

2. Yes. Check the spell's description in your spellbook, there's a complete list of all Familiars you can get depending on your alignment in there.

3. Don't know why you have that problem. On all my run-throughs, I didn't have any more trouble killing him than I had with the other Bhaalspawn.

4. No.

5. Never really tried it to be honest, but I don't think you can.

I dealt at least 2000 over damage to the chinchilla and it still squeaks defiantly. Its' companions are killable, but apparently not the chinchilla. How did you kill it?

Just in the normal way I kill all reasonably powerful critters. Nothing special about the tactic I used.

I do remember reading something about one of his forms not being killable. If you damage him a bit, he shapeshifts into a Werewolf-like form (Were-Chinchilla?) after a while, and either this or his original form can't be killed, IIRC.
