Can anyone tell me if there is only 1 level down at the old school? I have found a book in a pile of bodies, but in the process lost 3 of my party, if I have to go any further I fear that will be it.

- - - - - - - There is only one level in Ulcaster´s dungeon, but you should check it carefully. The book you need is near the room where there is a wand of fire in the floor, in a pile of bodies as you said.
