Yes, that's Kensai's specific class abilities, it allows maximum damage to be deal out within a short period of time. It is in the innate ability button.

In Kendo(swordplay martial art decended from Samurai training) you are supposed to scream Kai during the hit with your sword . It suposedly realeases your ennergie on your hit and the louder the Kai the more intimidatin you sound. A hit in Kendo will not count if the scream is not heard. In partice it sounds like KAIII DO! (A hit the side armor), KAIII Men (A hit center head) etc etc...
In game terms, a Kai gives a temporairy burst of strenth |

Chinese - Chi (as I learnt in Wing Chun/JKD and as part of Chi Gung)
Japanese - Ki (as I learnt in Aikido) Indian - Mana (as a friend of mine learnt) This is the energy the others refer to. The KAI (as Strahd says) is a focusing shout used in Kendo and Aikido. There is another one which sound like HAT-SEE (don't know how it's actually spelt though) |

Lord Shield it's abit off topic but is there any sword play In Hakido? That why I joined Kendo, I loved the whole fighting with armor and wooden swords. I did Kendo presentations (like two years ago), I had to quit because of coflicting scedules in my University, Hakido is more common So I might have a better chance to find a class wich better fits my schedule.

Kai vs. Ki vs. Kiai
According to Hidy Ochiai (Balckbelt Hall of Fame) "The Ki of ki-ai is a Japanese word that that describes such things as spirit, mind, heart, mood, care, air, and atmosphere; in terms of the martial arts ki specifically connotes a certain invisible quality that harmonizes mind and body for the maximum effectiveness of the techniques. The ai of ki-ai denotes the meaning and coordinating of the timing. Thus, the focus and power of the techniques are enhanced by the usage of ki-ai." So I guess Kai is sort of the same as "Kiai". In the game, you smack for max damage! ------------------ and the flaming sword turning every way, guards the tree of life. |
