I've accidently dropped Gaelen Bayle's Shadow Thief cellar key and can't find it again. Is there some easy way to find it or some cheat that will get me through the door it opens?
I'd hate to have to start the game again. |

You can use the cheat code to 'import' the item into the game. Someone else (Reeka I think) had this same problem so I am sure you will get a lot of replies. I am not sure about how to cheat and import.....Anyone?

To get the cheats activated do these steps: Step One ![]() Open the game's directory C:\Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA Step Two ![]() Open the Baldur.ini file in notepad. Step Three ![]() Find the line [Program Options]. Under it are a variety of settings for your game. Add this line: Debug Mode=1 And it must be Debug Mode=1, not debug mode=1 or anything else. Save and close notepad. Step Four ![]() Now when you are in the game, press CTRL-SPACE to bring up the Console. This is where you will enter all the cheats then type in CLUAConsole:CreateItem("itemcode",number) but replace the iteamcode with the desired code but you must keep the " These area the code for the key I know have somthing to do with the shadow thieves KEY27 - Guildhouse Key KEY13 - Shadow Thief Prison Key KEY12 - Key to Aran's Lair There is a nother cheat that let you jump to diferent areas but I don't know the code for the place. ------------------ ![]() Co-president of the Club of Broken Hearts [This message has been edited by Gabriel (edited 03-05-2001).] |

Hi, I am the Reeka that had the very same problem last week.
1) You can't make a replacement key with Shadowkeeper or whatever. You can make one (I did), but the game does not recognize the key. 2) If you have set it up with your cheat codes, you can do a move to AR0307. This This will "teleport" you into the cellar. After that, there is a back door you can go in and out of without having to go through the main "Guild" area. If you need more detailed instructions on how to do all this, if you will e-mail me your e-mail, I can forward the e-mails I got from Hellfire and Wolfgir to give you complete instructions. I would be more than happy to help; I would have had to start the game over if these people had not come to my aid. ------------------ Reeka--The Hand of Death |

The so called Jumping cheat is [ctrl] + [J], provide you have enable cheat in the game. You can also use the infamous Shadowkeeper to import items into your game.

If you going to use the move to area code, you have to type in CLUAConsole:MoveToArea("ARXXXX")
