Has anyone heard?

One of my sons announced to me that there is a BG2 expansion pack being worked on --- or soon to be released. Has anyone heard this? If so, do you know when the projected release date is? I don't see anything in the 'news' section of the Ironworks BG2 page. I'm curious to see what parts they expand.

Yes there is, but it probably won't be out till the end of the year realistically (even though it's just an add-on). You might want to check out the PlanetBaldursGate site on a regular basis, it gets updated every day with all the BG/IWD/NWN news.

I'm just guessing, but I belive that the Expansion pack will have something to do with the Systhillian Empire and that country named Thestl or something..I've heard alot about that, and it seems the place for a band of adventurers to head, breaking through an army line, and all
