Might be stuck in Chapter 3 for good... Help!

I am on the second quest for Aran, but I killed Caehan and Jaylos earlier (I think, because they're not on the second floor of the Five Flagons Inn). When I go back to Aran, my only option when I speak to him is that I haven't found anything yet. I'm pretty sure I killed them earlier in Chap 2 when I was just exploring the city, but I'm not positive. Does anyone know a way to tell for sure (an item or note I might have picked up from them)? I don't have any in my inventories so I hope not. I don't want to start all over because that would suck. Any advice would be great, thanks!

You can't kill them before Aran asks you to because they don't show up until then. Maybe you have a bug. You could try to manually create them using CLUAConsole if they fail to show. When Armisael comes online he'll be able to tell you the Creature Codes for them.

Well, at least I didn't screw anything up on accident then. Thanks for at least giving me hope, I don't want to start from scratch!
