I'm about to get my ascended armour for my Necro, and as I can't afford FoW just yet I was going to go with either Karl or Hagen.
After deciding I wanted Karl's armour, as it has 70 armour instead of 60 (and I can live with the +5 holy damage) and would prefer that over Armour 60 with the piercing resistance. The energy bonus' are the same aren't they? I was wondering two things. Which is rarer? And which looks better? As I've chosesn Karl to craft my armour that leaves me with either Ascended Tormentors Armour or Ascended Necrotic Armor. I'm guessing the Tormentors one is rarer, as the materials needed to craft it are more expensive. Am I correct? Also, which has the most notable difference from normal Tormentor and Necrotic armour, as I can't really tell lol. Anyway, here are the pics for those that don't know what they look like. I personally don't like the necrotic look.
Do you have faction? Have you considered getting a Kurzic or Luxon armor instead?

For the guys, I like the Tormentor. But it surely does look different than the female version!
Luvian, he'd have to travel and (play) wait a long time to get Ascended Canthan armor.

I don't have Factions, only Prophecies.
So that's out. I'm definately swinging towards Tormentor. Is it rarer do you know? And are the energy bonus' the same between Marhan Grotto & Granite Citadel armour? And I think female necro armour is better across the board. [ 09-18-2006, 01:07 PM: Message edited by: Lavindathar ]

I have a 15k tormentor-clad necro. Very happy with it. After all the months I waited for the armor, once it came it did not dissappoint, I can tell you that. After looking over all the new armors, I still can't find one that I'd like more than my Torm.

Yeah I prefer the 1K tormentors armour. Sigh I remember the days of the Necro protest in LA over their 15K armour not being any different from their 1.5k armour.
Then there was the monk strike in Thunderhead keep. Those were the days.

There is a really big difference between those two strikes. The Necro strike is a GWOnline-organized action which yielded result within two or three weeks. The Monk strike was some guild showing themselves as idiots by refusing to play if you don't pay with slogans such as "No deal, no heal" and "You don't pay, I don't pray" and other idiocies. It kinda grew out of proportions.

I finally settled on 15k Necrotics, dyed orange. It looks awesome, and the differences between that and the 1.5k necrotic is quite big.
shown it jay and dave, they liked it. Quite happy with it Saving for a rune of sup vigour now...lol. And what was the monk strike about? I remember the necro protest. But that was with good reason...

Well, it seems that a number of monks felt they should be paid for their healing services rather than contribute to the party overall as each of the other professions do. Then more jumped on the bandwagon and made idiots out of themselves, as well.
All in all, it was ludicrous. *MY* monk kept right on doing what she did best - healed her parties and cursed the foe ![]()

Well I do think we could do with raised team awareness in general. I'm getting pretty tired of people that "did it all themselves". You know the kind. The other day I was pvping on my mesmer, I did a super job, the monk didn't even get to cast a single spell I think. Then there was our necro being a pain for the opposite team, if was a great fight. Then at the end, the warrior was bragging about how he singlehandedly killed 3 guy of the opposite team and totally destroyed the monk. Hello!?! What about me and the necro? Why do you think the other team did pretty much nothing and were so squishy!?
And no matter what happen it's ALWAYS the monk's fault when we die. I'll be on my monk, doing a good job healing everyone, no one's is ever wounded for more than a second. Then they'll start being careless and going off alone, puling too much, or any number of other stupid thing, I'll have to run all over the place to keep people alive. Then eventually we'll die, and it will be my fault. It's funny how it's always the monk's fault when someone pull 3 groups and we die. Or when people keep going on even when the monk is spamming that he got low/no energy and the group die? That's the monk's fault too.
