Too easy! (spoilers)

At level 17, this game is stupidly easy. I just cleared out Red Mountain when trying to find the ghostgate piligramage. In the Official campaign i'm only at the bit were you talk to the ashlander camp. I have a daedric dai katana w/ ebony cuirass, boots of speed and ebony everything else. my l-sword skill is in the 70's, while strenght is 98. My int is 91, and willpower 56, endurance 68. I killed Dagoth ur's brother without any trouble, and once I cleared Vivec out of everyone in foreign and redoran quarters. My question: Why is this game so easy?

And you were just saying how tough a dreugh was, a few days ago.

Probably your equipment, or spells. I've got relatively bad equipment, and am bad at spells, and the game's still hard at level 15. Have you killed umbra yet? Fighting him hand-to-hand should be tough, from what I've heard of him.

I normally hate nitpicking, but I was saying that dreuths looked scary, not that they were hard. Who's Umbra by the way? Oh and what spells do you have? The only spells I have are the normal fire bite and frostbite, as well as ancestral guardian, hearth heal.

yeah, your difficulty slider is too low. i had it low when i first started, but kept adjusting it up. by the time i was your level i had the difficulty at plus 75.

I mistook scary to also mean tough.

Umbra is some character in the countryside somewhere who wants to die because he can kill anyone, and he's got a really good sword. I haven't found him, just heard about him.

I've got a lot of spells, but I only use Hearth Heal (about 70% chance) and Alimvisi Intervention (19% chance).

I've been using a Silver Sparksword until recently, when I found the slightly better Glass Frostsword. I had slightly improved bonemold armor (Gah-Julan or something like that) for one pauldron and regular bonemold gloves, Boots of the Apostle, Lord's Mail, Orcish Greaves, Dreugh helm and shield, and an Indoril pauldron. Previously I had only bonemold armor. My previous equipment was probably the reason for my difficulty with the game.

Umbra is somewhere in the east of Suran (in the hills there) He's a level 20 (i think) orc warrior, with orc armor and a smashing good 2h sword (soul trap for 120 sec, good damage). He's a chalenge even at higher level

Here is an ideea: Buy both expansions, go to them since apparently this game is too easy, max up your slider to 100, and go nuts. Come back afterwards and tell me if this game is still too easy.

I have a level 90+ PC with a strength of 240, the Sword of the Anchants which makes the daedric dai katana look like tin ware and my game difficult is set at the hardest level(100+). Fighting Dagoth Ur took close to an hour and over 40 potions, 30 spells of protection of one type or another and I died 7 times and with the equipment I have you wouldn't even be able to dent my armor with your sword. So beef up your game and after you find that you can't kill Dagoth Ur with any dai Katana made you'll go back to finishing the main quest and find the only weapon that can kill him that isn't with a cheat weapon set. It's one hell of a battle when you set the game at the higest difficult level.
The whole game in much harder and can really piss you off when things that couldn't touch you befor kill you in 10 seconds at the high level the game was ment to be played.

Yeah, its even worse when you start a new game with the same character. I punched the monitor so hard that it made funny colors for a bit because I kept dying to an Alit on level 5.
