I play Arcanum, but it seems that the game is...mediocre by reviewers.
(SCREW REVIEWERS!!! )

Ok...just kidding.
Anyone else like Arcanum? Or just play it for "trial - and - error"?

I have it installed on my computer. Just bought Morrowind so I play that game more. Still going to finish Arcanum sometimes.

BTW, IMHO Arcanum is a quite mediocre game. It´s not bad it´s just a bit boring.

pcgamer gave it an editors choice and i bought it on thier reccomendation but i couldn't get into it at all. I liked the class system but the gameplay just couldn't draw me in. I started 3 or 4 guys my best couple were a big half-ogre melee guy, a magic user who kept falling unconcios and somebody else who made it relatively far but i can't for the life of me rember what he was

Um steamworks arcanum was probably the highest rated crpg in 2001, winning a good share of the rpg of the year awards. Either first or runner up in just about all of them.

I just bought it and installed it this weekend. I'm hoping it plays well. $19.99 discount rack at Best Buy, so I'm not risking *too* much.

Tried it when it came out, way too buggy. Got too many other games to play to try it again.

I played it, but IMO character generation is too complicated. And I couldn't beat those wolves in the first area. I played several chars, but the big one always killed me. So I gave up and stopped playing it.
