Hello. Anyone else sick of waiting ages every few seconds for Bloodmoon to load areas/access inventory etc. ? The game seems to have slowed down loads since I installed this part. Anything I can do to speed things up? I have a new graphics card and a 1.5 Ghz processor so I don't think it's my pc, especially as it worked fine for Morrowind and Tribunal.

Hmm, take real time shadows off, or whatever it is called. I have a pretty good comp (don't know specifics), but it always got really slow at certain points, ridicously. It turns out it was the shadows was maxed up.

From what I've heard, seen and read, the annoying pause as new areas load is unavoidable and happens everyone even those who claim it does not. It is the engine loading simply without the loading screen you'd normally get when changing areas (entering a cave etc.).

The pause-for-loads are very small in my game: the only time I notice at all is if I'm levitating at a very high speed, and the computer has to draw a lot of graphics every second.
I have noticed that the merchants I always sell to [scamp] take longer to load their giant inventories, though... Turning off atmospheric effects, shadows, or even reducing the resolution should all help if you find it too irritating. Oru |

cheers chaps,
the shadows were already off, worryingly! But turning the showing distance down to near makes it less annoying, just that I have no idea where I'm going as the pc doesn't draw in much of the surrounding area. lol It's my own fault for levitating everywhere I suppose!

Put the world/local map stick on your screen ( press the x button on top of your map ). thus you know where you are going.
