Ways to get gold

I'm looking for nice repeatable ways to get gold. I know about using the Alchemist to do potion combining. I also found that Anton will pay ~9% more than Ferro charges, at least with COM at ~80. Are there other tactics?

I've played W8 many times but I havn't found a better way than mixing potions
and powders to earn money.
For me the best was Flashpowder + Sneezepowder ( because many NPC sell them and you find them often ) = Pandemonium Powder

hi durin. i agree with loudhy. heli pays the best rates, and between her and braffit you get all the ingredients you need to run up cash quickly. also, you will notice that different traders stock different things in surplus. before you leave trynton for the swamp, for example, grab all those medium heals from fuzzfas for mixing at crocks. then take the heavy heals to the trang and mix them with all their cure diseases for maximum profit.

other strategies for making money, although less effective, include having madras make the engineering items he can and selling those for profit, and selling off all those bard items you dont use regularly. and, i'll sometimes wander around the rapax area before becoming a templar because they drop so much loot. i'll leave it in piles accumulating, then go back and pick it up once we've made peace.

Buy from Sardoc (sp? the t'rang guy), instead of ferro. He charges 10% less than the nominal price of the items.

Potion mixing is the usual way to get much money. I usually don't do it, except with multiple bishops. Having to decide what to do with limited cash is good for me.

When you already know Ferro, you surely killed some Rapax. As long as you don't become templar, you can kill some groups of them each time you visit Ferro. The ones in the main levels usually drop lots of stuff, for some 100k gold.

I cleaned out the Rapax castle once, and got a total of about 300 k gold. It was one continuous battle, but then I could go shopping to Ferro. After becoming a templar the castle seemed so peaceful, with nearly no battles.

sell items that u know u can not use or are out dated. also, selling items will help lighten your load. missions for the t'rang and/or umpani will get u a TON of well needed cash. plus u can rob the vaults at the bank. it also helps if your willing to part with some items (like old instruments as previously stated or potions). u will find yourself making plenty of cash by lightening your load so you are not as slow. the ratzuka are pack rats (pun not intended) so they will have plenty of cash if you have the nerve to fight them (especially Don Barlone).

Kunar is a traitor to the umpani and if you kill him, ask balbrack about kunar. type "traitor" and then give him the fake IUF pass as proof. if you dont wanna part with kunar's cool items, get to the final mission for the trang. then tell kunar (assuming u did not stab the umpani in the back) the password. he will then give you the fake pass. then rat him out. this will get you 10k (100k?) gold. i would suggest waiting however. Kunar has some AWESOME weapons armour and ammo (one of the only people that sells musket balls).
