arikan help possible spoiler?

im new to the game. I cant figure out what Im suppose to be doing after i make it to arnika. i met niles but I forgot what he said about the kidnapped chic. I thought he said go north but i went north and I went so ffar he wanted to leave the party. i ended up by a bridge in some wilderness area. I like the game but im tired of running around with no idea of what im doing if im even doing anything at all. i know this might be a stupid question but i must ask. thanks

Miles meant to go North in town (Arnika) and rescue Vi Domina who is being held in a downed spacecraft. You have actually explored a difficult area at your level.

Head back if you can. Rescue her, see the people she names, and build up your party in Arnika. Fight a few battles, rest up (maybe in the room next to the armorer Antone). Fight a few more battles. Explore everything in Arnika.

Then you can head out to Trynton or finish a hidden area in the Monastery (needs a Wheel key). You can explore the area you are in, but the enemies can be pretty strong. What level are you? What kind of party do you have? I'm surprised you are still alive considering where you are.

Like Ziggurat said, you want to finish all of arnika (or atleast what you can)before deciding where you want to go. Really, you should head to Trynton, but if you are up to joining the Umpani, find a rather high tech looking bridge in the area you are in and continue through there. You should also train your skills and guys up a lot too.

Hi,
Thanks both for the replies. I was wondering why the game seemed so hard! lol!
My characters are between level 7 and 10. I have a theif/ bard hobbit. he statred out as a thief then I turned him into a bard. a dracon fighter, a mook psyonic, an elf bishop, a valrikye cat lady? cant remmeber her race, and a samurauri. ive beeen able to get so far by casting insaniy and terror alot an paralyze too. it makes the other monsters fight each other and run away giving me a chance to take them out one or two at a time. My hobbit kiks butt. and so does the samurai and fighter. I guess Ill try and make it back to arnika. Thanks so much for the advice. and welcome too.

Great choice; insanity was always one of the first spells I went for. It's just so great for those big groups of critters. Loved watching them beat on each other while we polished off the others.

By the way, monsters regen over time. Once you have Arnika cleaned up, you might want to stick around awhile for a few extra fights, or come back for some if you find the road to Trynton a bit tough.

However, keep in mind that proper development of your characters and correct strategy in combat count for more than just level alone. You're getting up to where heading on to Trynton should not be a problem, with proper play.
