The door can't be opened, but the glass can be broken. You'll have to find a device/machine to break all the glass in the monestary - which BTW allows you to get the Samuri armour as well.

Its all in the upper monestary, just keep opening doors until you find it. Hint: you will need a key to get into the room it is in.

Spolier-esque hint - check everywhere you see broken glass after you manage to break it - there will be access to items in IIRC at least 3 new places (the computer room being one).

You mentioned "at least 3" places to get items.
I am familiar with the computer room, samuri armour, and the crates - are there any more? I often wondered about the floor of one of the rooms which appeared to be glass, but it never did break - I guess it is just really shiny marble.

If you pay close attention, you see a board running up and out of a circle of boxes, though you can't get into the circle itself: its a spot you can get OUT of, but *seemingly* not INTO, until you've broken some glass...

Saladin - those are the 3 I remember for sure, haven't played in quite some time (adducted to Icewind Dale II right now). They are most likely the only 3.

Gimli, how's IWD II treating you. It is the next game I'm considering for purchase. How does it compare to Wiz 8.

I'm liking it quite a bit - different perspective than Wizardry (not first person, it's more an overview where you see all of your characters).

Since Wiz 8 I've played Neverwinter Nights and IWD II. IWD II I think is better if you are into party development; NWN has much prettier eye-candy, but the single player game isn't so great. I've heard multiplayer is good with NWN though, so if you're into that it would be very good.

The party creation and development is just as addictive, if not more so that Wizardry. There are less fights (except for a few exceptions, when you kill things in an area, they stay dead and no new ones spawn). The biggest advantage over Wiz 8 is that there are more mini quests, NPCs, and more exp for roleplaying - and less tedious combat. It's also harder to "cheat" - no training methods for example, if you want more power, you have to gain exp and go up levels.

Plus it has made me a fan of the 3rd Edition AD+D rules - and psyched because I know they will make more CPRGs with these rules.
