plaese answer that are mini quests such as to find the savant ship necessary in w8, or i just have to collect the three artifacts and then to ascension peak. also the training machine in the mt gigas u. caves is having a wiring malfunction.what to do now and where is rubble found the second time in the caves.

You may simply collect 3 artifacts and finish the game, but there's a lot of fun (and XP) in subquests.
To repair the broken machine place Lvl 3 Pass on it, then fix 3 wires at its back panel.

Well the Savant Ship isn't a side quest... it's one you have to finish, as my wife found out...

In theory, you shouldn't need to do the Savant ship unless you want to finish the t'rang/umpani alliance, though you MUST do the Savant tower [disable bomb] quest.
