It is possible to get quest from Daedras in daedric shrines: sometimes the statue in the shrine is labeled (statue of daedraname) and you can interact with it. It might give you a quest, which is quite difficult but well rewarded, since you will get a wondrous item for the effort. (I mean REALLY wondrous, just as Keening or Wraithguard are - read at bottom if you want to know more) The problem is, not all dadric statues talk.

So far, only Azura's statue, in Azura's Shrine (the one you can find on morrowind map) and another god (Shegorath? I think that was the name), whose shrine lies on the island in Sheogorath region, have given me quests.
Items:
Star of Azura: an extremely powerful soul gem - trap a Golden SAint and here you are, 400 cast strength...
Elm of Orcyn Bearclaw:
+40 Endurance, +40 Agility, Constant.
Heavy Armor - Armor rating 300
Looks like a troll bone helm, but shines in silver

Does anybody know other talking statues besides those listed above?

Why do some statues remain silent, although they are labeled?
Might that be because my charachter is a warrior (level 35 or something like that) and I can get quests only from Azura and Sheogorath and not from other daedra which are maybe more simpathetic towards another class?
Has maybe something to do with the fact that I have stolen the offers on the shrine? You know, those dremoras are pretty fun to kill...

By the way, I have to apologize. I posted this thread without the spoiler tags, or at least without properly formatting the text. I simply forgot about it, until I had a reply. I have now corrected my mistake. Sorry again.

I thought that the sheogorath stat. was inside the canal works of St. Deyln or St. Olms. I already ditched the fork of horriplation a while ago, and do not remember where i left it. I feel just a little bit ticked off.
